Position Available: Shift Manufacturing Excellence Team TST2



  • Electrical MET Technician This position is for an electrical Manufacturing Excellence Team Shift TST2.

  • The shift MET technician will provide troubleshooting guidance to operations technicians, as well as take ownership of chronic upper level equipment issues relating to Coating application, Forming technologies and Winder.

  • Attribute ownership and operations support will be initiated based on run metrics and established manufacturing targets.



  • Provide daily shift presence on the manufacturing floor in order to quickly recognize underperforming equipment.

  • Review production and quality metrics in order to accurately prescribe daily troubleshooting activities.

  • Attend production meetings and effectively communicate required troubleshooting.

  • Evaluate data and formulate assignable causes. € Prioritize daily required troubleshooting efforts based on business needs.

  • Assist DAY MET and plant engineering with equipment conversions and installations.

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently or in teams to quickly determine why equipment is not meeting output or uptime targets.

  • Complete repairs of Coating/Forming/Wind equipment based on a preventative maintenance schedule or due to unexpected equipment breakdown.

  • Reference machine spec and follow troubleshooting checklists.

  • Drive to continuously improve effectiveness of troubleshooting checklists through training or document changes.

  • Train operations technicians on equipment troubleshooting best practices.

  • Ability to certify to NFPA70-E standards. Demonstrate ability to use all electrical troubleshooting tools.



  • Associates Electrical Technology degree (or equivalent) with 2+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent previous career experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, & Outlook

  • Exposure to industrial manufacturing equipment

  • Knowledge of statistical process control methodology



  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and ability to implement changes to systems from "red lines"

  • Experience identifying and resolving problems real-time.

  • Attention to detail when working with sensitive components and placing a high priority on the condition of parts and assemblies at all times.

  • Experience in fast paced manufacturing environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
