Responsibilities:
Provide leadership through collaboration with peers both within and external to Concord Plant (CO) to develop and execute the regional and global TBG Supply Chain strategy as well as the plant's business strategy.
Serve as the primary owner of CO scheduling, inventory and production plans and control systems. Provide forward looking plans for inventory to ensure excellent customer service (internal & external) and excellent inventory turn performance. Track plant inventory performance on a detailed level.
Serve as the primary liaison to the customer service and downstream plants for CO in demand and capacity planning and associated master production scheduling. Primary ownership for worldwide preform planning.
Ensure excellent internal and external customer service
o Manage the procurement of all materials, operating supplies, and services.
o Forecast expected material usage based on production forecasts and historical usage rates, and monitor systems that are in place to provide all necessary raw materials in a timely fashion.
Continuously identify and implement improvements. Change agent around continuous improvement.
o Develop supplier partnering through beneficial relationships and/or contracts.
o Identify and capitalize on material procurement opportunities which will reduce costs and or plant inventories.
o Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to eliminate non-value added activities.
o Participate in Cross Division activities to capitalize on economies of scale and synergies.
Take proactive role in ensuring a safe workplace
o Actively participate in the development of CO's total safety culture.
o Support safety improvement efforts through providing resources to improvement teams.
o Uphold plant standards for safety and housekeeping.
Develop Supply Chain staff to allow them to achieve their full potential while achieving personal, department, and plant objectives and initiatives
o Effective recruiting, training, and mentoring of employees.
o Manage employee performance through clearly communicated expectations and evaluating their performance against specific, measured objectives or targets.
o Communicate for understanding company and plant measures, goals, and initiatives.

Education and Experience
B.A./B.S. Business or Technical degree, 8-10 years of relevant work experience
MBA or Supply Chain degree, preferred
Required Skills
Prior experience in a scheduling or planning role
Successful and proven supervisory, team leader and/or section supervisor experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
Experience and accountability for developing, implementing and driving results for MBOs and manufacturing line metrics.
Proven capability to manage, coach, direct and develop salaried exempt and nonexempt employees, training in employee effectiveness, conflict resolution, coaching, listening skills, supervisory effectiveness.
Desired
Certified Green Belt certified in Performance Excellence, Lean and DMAIC methods.
Training, understanding and demonstrated competence in cost accounting, managing for profitability.
Trained and experienced in fundamentals of safety and health.
Experience managing the talent development strategy for the department, including programs to attract, develop and retain key talent.
Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes and corporate network and resources.
Has participated or led a cross-functional team in a manufacturing environment responsible to deliver key improvement initiative or cost reduction program.
Experience and competence of innovation and new product development and delivery, has participated or led a project team responsible to develop and/or launch a new product into manufacturing.
Experience in collaborating, interfacing and communicating upward and outward (Plant, Business and Division).

Proven self-starter able to effectively manage high levels of uncertainty and change

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
