BM MET (Manufacturing Excellence Team) Key
Responsibilities:
Maintaining production equipment
Monitoring equipment and processes
Making process/equipment/procedure adjustments
Manufacturing improvement identification and solutions
Technology receivership
Responsibilities of the Position:
Supervise the Blankmaking MET Day and Shift technicians including training, feedback and annual IGO process
Monitor Repair & Maintenance spending levels for the Blankmaking Production Community and lead project efforts to maximize cost reduction
Active participation in Glassmaking community leadership functions and forums
Continue the development of the Blankmaking MET organization to include further definition of roles/responsibilities, communication paths, performance measures and coverage plans.
Have consistent interface with Blankmaking and Aurora Engineering supervisors
Interface with the other MET Supervisors to ensure plant-wide consistency and share best practices.
Ensure appropriate levels of troubleshooting steps are taken based on process feedback, checklists, control charts, attribute management and other information
Identify and communicate performance opportunities, objective shortfalls and resource requirements.
Recommend improvements to process and/or equipment and drive equipment robustness.
Lead Blankmaking technology receivership
Submit monthly reports that accurately summarize performance.
Required Education /
Experience:
BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
2 to 4 years Production Supervision and/or 2 to 4 years Engineering experience.
Required Skills:
Technical background
People management and supervisory skills.
Strong engineering and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge about plant operations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and issues effectively.
Directive and autonomous.
Decision making and prioritization.
Strong internal/external written/verbal communication skills
Project management skills

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
